Membership Process

Residency & Membership Requirements

  • Full-Time Residents: Must live in the area for at least one year.

  • Second Homeowners: Join the Lodge closest to your primary residence.

  • Visiting Members: Any Elk in good standing can visit with a current membership card.

Sponsors

  • Need three Elk members in good standing who have known you for at least one year.

  • One member will be your primary sponsor, guiding you through the process.

Application

  • Sponsor picks up the application from the Secretary’s office.

  • Complete the form with your sponsors and submit it to the Membership team or Secretary.

  • Applications can be hand-delivered or emailed to membership@aspenelks.org or secretary@aspenelks.org.

After Submission

  • Receive an email from membership@aspenelks.org with instructions.

  • Provide proof of full-time residence and a background check from the State of Colorado.

Waiting List

  • The application process can take up to a year or more.

  • Volunteering can help you move up the list faster.

  • Contact the Lodge manager at manager@aspenelks.org or the volunteer coordinator at volunteer@aspenelks.org for opportunities.
